British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on Monday, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his team members.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”
His release from the hospital arrives after the global fight fans had expressed its support for the star in the following the devastating accident.
