Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an investigation into claims about questionable actions involving young women.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
