'Living a Nightmare': Families of Unaccounted For Young People Await News After Alpine Inferno
The relatives of teenagers missing after a deadly fire at a bar in a Swiss winter destination are facing an excruciating wait for official news and pleading for clues about their family members via social media.
The blaze ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Circulated footage depict the ceiling igniting as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Emergency services have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the those who perished of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and wounded another over a hundred. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to name the remaining few.
In the meantime, relatives have been taking to online platforms to request clues about their loved ones who were in attendance that fateful night.
Appeals for the Unaccounted For

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also among the missing. His mother explained that he had been on vacation but had gone out with a group and ended up at the bar.
"Someone with him said they fled after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he lost sight of him," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.
