Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt ready to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can now express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, commenting that he cannot recall "any day without mirth".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to bar the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate put a restriction on the files to prohibit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" connected to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a record listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the tragedy, public figures offered divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering provocative claims that were widely condemned by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors last week. Talking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and suggested they revealed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an adviser should have intervened when the decision to comment on the death was made.
